The Bendix Diner in Hasbrouck Heights has been around for decades. Apparently it was named the Bendix after the Bendix Corporation which had a factory nearby.

The diner is situated - literally - in the middle of  Route 17.

New Jersey is considered the diner capital of the world. There are hundreds of diners in the state, and they are an integral part of the New Jersey dining experience. Many are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
