2,000 pipe organ which the Northlandz owner sometimes plays |
Last week I told you about Northlandz, the model railroad located in Flemington, New Jersey. I showed you some trains and the spectacular scenery and settings that were created by the owner.
This week I will show you some other interesting parts of Northlandz.
Here is a Christmas village:

P.S. I love comments and will answer back, but some WordPress blogs simply refuse to post my comments for some reason, even when I try with Twitter. I don't know why. I also cannot comment on blogs that only accept Google+ comments.

DeleteThat's quite a place. Didn't exist when I lived in NJ. I have no idea who the second blonde is in that one picture. Recognized everyone else. What a neat set up they have with the trains and dolls. I would love to visit there someday. When I was growing up we went often to Flemington to the Stangl dish factory. My mother and grandmother would buy seconds. I still have some of my grandmother's Stangl dishes on shelves in my kitchen and dining room. When we got married our first set of dishes came from Stangl. There was also a doll factory, but as I recall it was more like a doll store. We would go and look, but never bought. The dolls were collectibles. I think they had china heads, but I'm not sure. I was pretty young. My sister might remember better than me. I know the Stangl factory closed many years ago. I googled Stangl and came up with this site: http://stanglpottery.org/ I'm off to check it out.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of Stangl before, but after googling Stangl it looks very pretty!
