Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey has more cherry trees than Washington, DC! Because of the cold winter we have had, the famous cherry blossoms in Newark have bloomed late this year.
Even last week we had a couple of mornings in the low 20s Fahrenheit. Within the next week or so I believe we will see them in full glory.
They are in the late “budding” stage and are near their peak. They are already stunningly beautiful.
Photos taken April 21st, 2014.

Beautiful! Several of the flowering trees in Delaware bloomed later than usual and are already starting to turn green.
ReplyDeleteMany of our trees haven't bloomed yet or are just starting to bloom. But at least spring has finally arrived!
