Sea Girt Lighthouse in pretty little Sea Girt, New Jersey is a sweet little lighthouse. It is different, because the little light tower is actually part of the house. Most lighthouses are separate structures from the keeper’s house.

After you enter the house, you see the little parlor.

To get to the light, you must climb a small ladder:

You can see the light:

The views from the lighthouse are great.

  9. This is definitely not your typical lighthouse! The keeper must love being able to live there too, so close to the water and a lighthouse as a portion of their home. How many people can say that?

    1. I believe the keepers must have enjoyed that house. It is a really nice little house, even if the light tower is tiny.

  11. Oh wow that is beautiful!! I love lighthouses! There is one I saw when we were searching for our honeymoon destination that you could stay in. It was out on the water so you had to be taken there by boat. I can't remember where that was, but that is where I want to go on vacation one year soon.
