New Jersey Botanical Gardens at Skylands
The New Jersey State Botanical Gardens at Skylands in Ringwood, New Jersey are starting to bloom. Ringwood is a beautiful town near the New York state line.
On a recent visit, the cherry blossom trees and the crab apple trees were beautiful. Soon the other gardens will be ready!
The Gardens consist of Skylands Manor and 96 acres of gardens, including a Lilac Garden and Peony Garden, and over 1000 acres of woodlands. It is a beautiful place any time of year, but especially in the springtime. Once a month tours are given of the manor house, but the gardens are open dawn to dusk year-round.

DeleteThe trees in bloom are just gorgeous! My son is studying landscaping and begging me to invest in flowering trees, maybe next year. I think the season is just about past here. Very cool architectural structure of the old manor house... a Gothic novel just waiting to be told/written...
