New Jersey Memories

Mount Tabor, New Jersey in Morris County was started as a Methodist Camp Revival Meeting town, just as Ocean Grove was in Monmouth County. Mount Tabor was an independent town until 1980, and is now technically part of Parsippany, New Jersey -- but still has a separate feeling.

I took these photos in December at the Zenas Crane House in West Caldwell, which is currently serving as the home of the town historical society. The house is faithful to the furnishings of the period, right down to the chamber pots!
