Greetings from the Garden State!
That's pretty wild! No bears here in our part of Florida, thank goodness. Thanks for your visit earlier tonight.
@Kat -- Yes, those bears are busy. Thanks for visiting back!
Thanks for visiting and the comment. Drop in anytime and bring your bear. We got plenty of bears in Montana to keep it company. HA ...... A nice blog. I'm following you back. Manzanita from wanna buy a duck
Hah! I had a chuckle over those people in Ridgewood who don't live that far from me and their reaction to the bear. Poor bear! He was just trying to get away from that circus! It is rare for people in Bergen Cty to see them but in our town it's quite common to have bears in your yard (I just had yet another small one in mine the other day, pics to follow) and think nothing of it. People in West Milford love their bears! Well, for the most part with a few exceptions of those that are all for the bear hunt to start again. :(Bears are very curious. My neighbor had a great bear story to tell at our block party last year. Her mother was pushing their small child on the swing in the back yard when the little girl looked up above her and said "Granny, the bear wants to swing too!" Her grandmother looked up to see a large black bear in the tree right above them, swinging his paw back and forth in rhythm with the swing! Thanks for the link! If you want to see more bears on my blog you can always click on the topic "Bears" link in my sidebar for all the entries that contained bears. I also used to keep a "Bear Diary" (link under Lynne's Favorite Links) but don't keep that up anymore but still some old "good" stuff to see there.
That's wild!! I live far enough from bears to think they're cute - but I know they can be dangerous!! Too many teddy bears in my childhood I guess!
@Manzanita -- I'm sure those Montana bears are tough!
@Lynne -- You sure seem to have a lot of bears in West Milford! I have indeed read your "bear diary" and it is interesting.
@Donna - They're cute as long as they're not in your backyard!
Have them in Morris County right in my own backyard too! A bear smashed our fence, snapped our wrought iron bird feeder in half and pooped on my lawn! We're under siege! lol
@Saucy B -- Wow! I grew up in Morris County and never had any bears although I lived on a pretty busy street! Why did he snap the bird feeder in half? Did he eat the seeds?
Hi there! Great photos on your site - so nice to share the Jersey area with us all!
haha omg that's crazy! kind of cute though?
Oh whoa! That's just too close for me! Thanks for coming over to my blog! I'm a follower now and am now going to check out your other postings! BEAUTIFUL Cherry Blossoms by the way!
They say we have blacks bears in Maryland, but I am sure not where I live. (The squirrels are bad enough). I think I'd have a heart attack to see one.
Oh my goodness! Bears!!!!I'm soooo excited to see your upcoming cub pictures!I haven't visited in blog in little while, so now I'm going to take a good look around. See the Best Of section.:)Best wishes,~Zabrinah
@Wendy -- Thank you so much, Wendy!
@christina -- They're cute when they are cubs!
@LBD Diaries -- Thanks so much!
@citymouse -- Around here we have deer, wild turkeys, weasels (I saw one drift across a busy road one day -- I think it was a weasel), something that looked like a fox (I saw it running around one day), although I haven't seen any bears where I live, yet. And I don't even live in the country!
@Zabrinah -- Actually the cub pictures are not on my site. They are on http://www.rickandlynne.com/lynne/index.php/lynne. She has great pictures of bears.
